IRON: Research from the Australian Longitudinal Study of Womens Health suggests that one in three women have been diagnosed with iron deficiency by the age of 45-50 years. Iron deficiency occurs when your body doesn’t have enough iron to produce haemoglobin – an essential component of red blood cells. This can leave you feeling tired, weak and unable to concentrate. Some facts and handy hints about iron: 🔺 Those at a higher risk of iron deficiency include women who are menstruating, pregnant or lactating; babies; teenage girls and female athletes. 🔺The best sources of iron are from animal products such as red meat, lamb, chicken and fish. The redder the meat, the higher the iron content! 🔺 Iron is found in wholegrain breads and cereals, legumes, green leafy vegetables and nuts. However, the iron from these foods is not as well absorbed in the body. Consume plant sources with animal sources to help increase iron absorption. 🔺 Vitamin C helps to increase the absorption of iron. Consume foods containing vitamin C such as oranges, kiwifruit and broccoli with iron containing meals.

🙌How many of us set goals, or think about achieving a goal, yet never implement any timescales or deadlines on them? I for one fell victim to this. More recently however, I’ve been trying to set specific timescales not only on short term, but long term goals. This then makes them far more “real” - As a result, you obtain a sense of urgency to prioritize and leverage your time and responsibilities to ensure you’re doing what you must to get closer to your goals, day after day. Ultimately, "Goal Management" is critical to living the life you desire. I highly recommend reading “Dominate your goals" by @agentsteven who has produced an excellent eBook on Goal Management...Fail to plan, plan to fail! 👊
