Day 87 "The keys to life are running and reading. When you're running, there's a little person that talks to you and says, "Oh I'm tired. My lung's about to pop. I'm so hurt. There's no way I can possibly continue." You want to quit. If you learn how to defeat that person when you're running . You will learn how to not quit when things get hard in your life. For reading: there have been gazillions of people that have lived before all of us. There's no new problem you could have--with your parents, with school, with a bully. There's no new problem that someone hasn't already had and written about it in a book" Will Smith. In life we all will experience setbacks on the road to success but we have to remember that life is a marathon not a 200 meter race. We must show persistence and have optimism. I started running again last year just to clear my head . Through running I learned many lessons. I first learned that you need to stay in your own lane stick what works for you. I also learned that this is YOUR marathon you set the pace your not racing against anyone but yourself . When I first started I ran a mile it took me dam near 30 mins to do it . I could've gave up there and been like running ain't for me F this. But the way my optimism is step up I was like hell no im coming back out here tomorrow . I slowly started cutting my time down to the point a year Later I run 3 miles on an avg of 7 mins per mile . Understand this when I first started I couldn't make it around the track more than 2 times without stopping . This is where my persistence kicked in even tho I stopped I walked around once and started back running again until I was able to do 1 mile without stopping . It took a few times for me to get to that but the key is I never stopped and I always knew I could do better. Our assignment today is to compare your life path to training for a marathon . First acknowledge your setbacks and deal with them. Next dig up some optimism that will build your self-esteem. This is for your eyes only so if you lie your lying to yourself  start small like I said I was going to eat healthy today I started my day off with a banana simple things to build that self esteem.
